hi people! I'm posting again after a rather long hiatus, because i've been busy with projects and essay assignments and such. this really makes me wonder why i chose literature in the first place, because i absolutely don't like writing essays!!!! but curiously enough, i get a great sense of satisfaction when i look at a completed essay. talk about oxymoron!
time really flies when one is in university. in a blink of an eye, my first term is over, i've submitted my first group project and essay assignment, and my first test is coming up soon. which serves to remind me that i'm really behind on my readings again. however, staying in hall has brought its delights. i'm free to do whatever i want, which includes roasting marshmallows in a toaster at midnight, drinking choya and getting slightly drunk. hmm... low alcohol tolerance have i. i can eat chocolate biscuits whenever i want, slack off when i'm supposed to be studying (not a very good habit here!! oops, shouldn't have said that...) and sleep at whatever time i want. this also means a great deal of discipline on my part, and i think i'm doing admirably on that front. i get my assignments done on time, i do my readings whenver i can, and i generally try to enjoy life to the fullest.
i'm also really enjoying choir practice, both in Wild Empire as well as in Hall Acapella. i find that joining Hall Acapella sort of mentally prepares me for WE practice on saturdays. maybe that's why the altos learnt the christmas songs so fast last practice! haha :P i'm going to perform with my hall acapella for mid-autumn festival on 10 Oct. really looking forward to it! i really love performing, and standing on the stage, and hearing the audience go wild, gives me a high like no other.
so where am I? eating white chocolate biscuits before dinner, surfing internet reading fanfiction, doing my readings, typing essays, singing
Somewhere over the rainbow outside my room loudly at 10pm, and generally enjoying life. so sue me.
Upside down, bouncing off the ceiling.... boing boing boing boing boing boing .....
